...please consider helping fund this Donors Choose proposal. The teacher is a friend of mine who is building a library of manga (Japanese-style comics, in English) for her school. In her words: A big push at the school is after school programs to keep the kids off the street and doing something productive and positive. The area we are in has big gang problems, and with nothing else to do after school, most kids fall into the gang trap.
